Artificial turf for Golf in short courses.

We hope you like this post in which we highlight the advantages of Pitch and Putt Construction with artificial turf.

Pitch and Putt is a regular sport, similar to golf in which the holes have shorter distances (up to 120 m).

The number of clubs used on these courses are smaller, these are usually for the shorter holes the blasters; Sand Wedges of 52, 56 and 60 degrees.

If you have little time or you like to practice these distances, these routes are ideal for you.

Depending on the player's skills and handicap, other clubs can be used.

It usually starts from an artificial surface because the outlets are smaller in size and have their own handicap system.

Pitch and Putt case studies.

In 2006, after more than 15 years in R&D, a group of three golf course architects and landscape architects related to ALLGrass Solutions, implemented in the city of Madrid (Spain) a 9-hole golf course designed and constructed with synthetic turf.
The project was promoted with the philosophy of bringing the game to the masses, which resulted in a unique field in the world.
The golf course was developed by Canal de Isabel Segunda, in partnership with the Madrid City Authorities, and the installation was built on top of the oldest water tank in the city.
The idea of sustainable development was an integral part of the project, and it was essential that the design system was fully porous.
This system allows all the captured water to be channeled to migrate to the tank and used in the city's water supply.

Design arguments in a Pitch and Putt.

This project of  Pitch & Putt has been designed with the same principles of an 18-hole course to a small one.
In this proposal it has been possible to shape par 3 holes with the same movements (Features) as a hole of a regular course.
Undulations, mounts, swales, bunkers, flats and any type of green that can only be seen and played on large courses have been recreated.
The fundamental basis of our projects is to develop Pitch & Putt with permeable bases.
The purpose of this type of project is to achieve the re-use of water resources.
Once this purpose is achieved, they can be returned to the environment and contribute to both development and sustainable exploitation.
It is only to be hoped that local councils, private investors, local federations, universities, schools, casinos and other bodies involved in the promotion of the sport will make it grow exponentially.
If you are part of any of these organizations, you should take into account these sport and leisure alternatives that promote values and principles that are not seen in other sports.
Synthetic turf is the ideal vehicle to make golf a popular sport once and for all.
